Unexpected is an original abstract painting by London-based artist Paresh Nrshinga. Colour, movement and space are held in careful balance. A palette of black and white gives the composition an immediate presence from a distance and a more nuanced character at close range, while the work remains deliberately open to interpretation.
The strength of the painting lies in its restraint. Open space gives each mark room to register, while subtle shifts in tone and gesture create tension without visual clutter. That economy makes the work feel assured and considered, rewarding a slower, more attentive look.
At 91 × 122 cm, Unexpected has enough presence to hold a contemporary living room, open-plan space or design-led interior without overwhelming it. Its wide format gives it a particularly strong architectural presence. It is a work designed to be lived with, revealing different relationships between colour, movement and space over time.
