Winter Lake I
Soft horizontal bands of plum, crimson, violet and rose glow across a dark canvas, fading into black at the top and bottom. The colour seems to hover, like reflections on a still lake at dusk.
Paresh painted these bands slowly, softening each edge so they melt into one another. The calm comes from patience: layer upon layer, until the light seemed to glow from within.
It is a deeply meditative painting. Standing before it can quieten a busy mind, and in a bedroom or reading corner it brings warmth and peace to the end of the day.
