Sapphire Lagoon | Original Painting
Turquoise light pours into the centre of this square, surrounded by deep teal, ink blue and soft grey. Fine streaks of crimson and white fall through the blue like reflections, giving the water a sense of depth you can almost step into.
Paresh lets the paint move freely here, following a feeling of calm and depth rather than a scene. Each layer of blue was added to answer the one before, until the lagoon seemed to appear by itself.
There is something deeply restful about it. Like looking into clear water on a still day, it quietens the mind and invites you to stay a little longer.
This original acrylic painting on Belgian primed canvas by London-based artist Paresh Nrshinga FRSA measures 39.4 × 39.4 in. It suits a bedroom, bathroom or study where blue can set a peaceful mood. It is ready to hang, and it is signed with a certificate of authenticity.
