Three bands of colour stack against deep black. At the top, a vivid crimson almost glows; in the middle, a richer red settles in; at the base, a pale blush white catches the light like mist over a city street.
Paresh built each band in soft, overlapping layers so the edges breathe rather than cut. The painting came from feeling rather than a picture of a place, yet the warmth and romance of an autumn evening found their way in.
Living with it feels like holding on to a favourite trip: the glow of lit windows, the cool of the air, and the sense that something wonderful is just around the corner.
