Between Light and Shadows
Two canvases, one conversation. Between Light and Shadows is a pair of square paintings in deep plum black, where silvery white forms rise out of the darkness like petals or wings turning towards the light.
Paresh describes painting as a spiritual practice, a way of meeting his own emotions on the canvas, and these works feel especially personal. Shadow and light are given equal weight, and neither wins.
That balance is what draws you in. We all know days of both, and the pair leaves room for you to bring your own story to it. Hung side by side, it reads as one extra large work, and the eye moves back and forth between the panels, finding echoes and contrasts.
Measuring 40 × 80 in overall, this original painting by London-based artist Paresh Nrshinga FRSA brings quiet drama to a dining room, a bedroom with calm white walls or a sophisticated office. The sides are painted, and the work is signed with a certificate of authenticity.
