From screen
to wall.
Finding a painting online should feel like the beginning of a personal connection, not a complicated purchase.
Good photographs, thoughtful artwork details and a little guidance make it easier to choose an original painting with confidence. Here is what matters when you are considering a work you have not yet seen in person.

01 / Where to begin
Can you buy original art online with confidence?
Yes. Buying original art online allows you to explore a wider range of paintings in your own time, return to the ones that hold your attention and discover more about the artist before making a decision.
Start with the work itself. Look at the complete composition, the movement of the brushwork and the colours that interest you. If you keep returning to the same painting, it is worth looking at more closely.
A trustworthy artwork page should clearly identify the artist, title, medium, dimensions and whether the work is an original. It should also explain what is included with the purchase and where you can ask questions.

02 / Looking closely
What should you look for in artwork photographs?
Begin with a clear, straight-on photograph showing the full painting. This lets you see the composition, shape and proportions without the distractions of a room setting.
Then look for details of the painted surface. Close-up photographs can reveal the artist's individual marks, layers and textures that may not be visible in a smaller image. Room photographs provide a different benefit: they help you imagine how the painting might sit with furniture, natural light and architecture.
Held by Pale Light uses translucent pale green, misted grey and warm white. Its softer areas become more interesting as you notice the shifts between layers. Viewing both the full work and its details is part of choosing it well.
An interior photograph is a visual guide. The artwork's listed dimensions, rather than the apparent size in a styled image, are the reliable reference for its actual scale.
03 / Dimensions and orientation
How do you choose the right size when buying art online?
Look at the exact measurements and whether a painting is square, portrait or landscape. These are characteristics of the artwork, separate from the colours you see on a screen.
Think about the architecture and furniture around the wall where the painting will hang. A wide original can relate naturally to a long sofa or dining table, while a portrait composition can suit a taller wall or a space between openings.
Between Light and Shadows is a particularly wide original composition. Its proportions give the work a different presence from a square painting, even when the colours are similarly restrained.
Before ordering, compare the listed measurements with the space where you plan to display the piece. If you are uncertain about orientation or positioning, the studio can help you understand how a particular original might work in your interior.

04 / Colour on a screen
Will an original painting look exactly like it does online?
High-quality photographs are the best starting point, but a screen cannot reproduce every subtlety of a painted surface. Phone and computer displays vary in brightness and colour settings, while the light in your home changes throughout the day.
Look through more than one photograph of a painting where possible, particularly the full artwork image and the close-up details. They help build a fuller impression of the colour, marks and finish.
Moonlit Garden I brings together crimson, orange, gold, grey and earth tones. The relationship between those shades matters more than trying to match any one colour perfectly to an image on a device.
If a particular colour or detail is important to your decision, ask the studio before buying. Questions about colour and questions about physical size are both useful, but they are different considerations.
05 / The original work
How can you tell whether an artwork is original?
Read the listing carefully. An original painting should be identified as a distinct artwork rather than simply presented as a photograph. Look for information about the medium, surface, artist's signature and certificate of authenticity.
Paresh Nrshinga's original paintings are individually created works. The relevant product page explains the materials, dimensions and finish of each piece. Original canvases are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, with signature details stated in the listing.
Keep the invoice and certificate together after purchase. They form a useful record of the work you have acquired, and may be helpful if you move, insure or pass the painting on in future.
06 / Materials and finish
What details should you check before placing an order?
Check the medium and surface, such as acrylic on canvas, the depth of the canvas, its edges, signature and whether a frame is included. A painting shown in a styled photograph may not include a decorative frame, so the listing should always be your reference.
Many Art Nrshinga originals are ready to hang, with painted sides and a gallery finish. The specific artwork description confirms the particulars of the work you are purchasing, including any framing options.
With All My Heart has a bronze and brown palette with expressive movement. Its artwork page also gives the size, medium and finishing details that matter when deciding whether the painting is right for you.
Spend a moment reviewing the information rather than relying on the main picture alone. An informed decision is part of the pleasure of buying an original painting.

07 / Seeing it in your space
Can you visualise an original painting in your own room?
An in-situ photograph can help you picture a painting in a contemporary or traditional interior, but your own room has its own proportions, light and furnishings.
If you would like more guidance, you can send the Art Nrshinga studio a straight-on photograph of the wall or room. Where appropriate, the team can discuss a digital placement to help you consider a particular painting in that setting.
The painting itself should remain true to its original composition and proportions in a digital placement. The purpose is to help you make a considered decision, not to make the artwork look larger or different from the piece you will receive.
To discuss a painting or a possible placement, contact the studio.
08 / Delivery and returns
How are original paintings delivered and returned?
At Art Nrshinga, original paintings are carefully prepared and securely packaged for delivery. UK delivery is complimentary for original paintings, with a usual aim of delivery within 3 to 5 working days after dispatch for available works. Additional preparation, framing or specialist transport may affect the timeframe.
International shipping is also available, with charges and any specialist arrangements confirmed according to the destination and artwork. For details, see the current Shipping & Delivery Policy.
For eligible online purchases, the current returns policy provides a 14-day cancellation period from receipt, followed by a further 14 days to return the work after notifying the studio. Please contact Art Nrshinga before booking a return courier so the arrangements and return address can be confirmed.
Customers normally arrange and pay for change-of-mind return delivery. Eligibility, exceptions and full conditions are explained in the Returns & Refunds Policy. Review the current policy before placing your order.
09 / The personal element
What if you want a painting made for a particular interior?
Sometimes an existing original is exactly what you are looking for. At other times, you may love an artist's approach but want to discuss a particular size, orientation or palette for your space.
Art Nrshinga also offers bespoke commissions by Paresh Nrshinga FRSA. A conversation with the studio is the place to begin, whether you have a clear brief or simply an idea of the feeling you would like the artwork to bring.
Commissioned works have their own process, timescale and terms, which should be agreed before proceeding. You can enquire about an original painting or commission without needing to finalise every detail in advance.
10 / Before you decide
What is the best way to choose original art online?
Choose a painting you genuinely want to live with. Look at the whole composition, explore its details and consider how its colours and movement relate to your personal taste.
Check the actual artwork dimensions, medium, signature, authenticity information, frame details and delivery arrangements. Ask for clarification when something matters to you. There is no reason to rush a personal purchase.

A final thought
The right painting is worth discovering.
Buying original art online can be straightforward without feeling impersonal. The photographs introduce you to the work; the details help you choose with confidence; and the connection you feel with the painting is entirely your own.
