Bespoke Abstract Art Commissions

Paresh Nrshinga FRSA · Bespoke art commissions

A painting made for your space.

Sometimes you find a painting you love, but have a different size, palette or feeling in mind. Or perhaps you are starting with an empty wall and an idea you have not quite put into words.

An original commission gives us the opportunity to develop something personal together. A painting informed by your space and your preferences, while retaining the gesture, colour and individual character of Paresh's work.

Personal by design

Your ideas. Paresh's artistic approach.

A commission is not about reproducing a painting to a precise formula. It is a conversation between the space you have in mind and the way Paresh works with colour, layers and movement.

You might be drawn to a sold painting, want a particular format above a sofa, or need a significant original work for a reception, hotel or private interior. Existing paintings can be useful references, but each commissioned canvas is an original in its own right.

Paresh has worked with private collectors, interior designers and businesses, including projects for Winch Design, BNP Paribas, CBRE and RSA House. The same thoughtful approach applies whether the brief is a single painting for your home or part of a larger project.

How it works

From the first idea to the finished painting.

You do not need a formal design brief to begin. A few thoughts about the space and the paintings you are drawn to are enough for a first conversation.

01 / Start a conversation

Tell us what you have in mind.

Share the approximate size, the room or project and any colours or existing paintings you love. A photograph of the wall, colour swatches or a few references are helpful, but not essential at the outset.

02 / Shape the brief

Explore scale, colour and materials.

Together we consider the canvas format, palette, finish and artistic direction. Paresh can work with an existing painting as a starting point or develop a new approach in keeping with his practice.

03 / Agree the details

A clear proposal before work begins.

We confirm the dimensions, materials, price, indicative timescale and any agreed variations or special arrangements. A 50% deposit is required before painting begins. The remaining balance is payable before delivery, in line with the agreed commission terms.

04 / Creating your original

Time for the painting to develop.

Paresh creates the work in his studio. An indicative completion period is usually 2 to 6 weeks, depending on scale, complexity and current commitments. Any review stages, refinements or alternative compositions are agreed as part of the brief, rather than assumed.

05 / See the finished work

From the studio to your space.

We share photographs of the completed painting and discuss the next steps in accordance with the commission agreement. Once the balance is settled, delivery or other agreed arrangements are made. The result is a one-of-a-kind original, made with your space in mind.

Art in real spaces

Consider the painting in its setting.

Scale, light and the colours already in a room can all shape the direction of a commission. You may want a quiet, layered work that sits naturally with the interior, or something more expressive that brings the space to life.

A straight-on photograph of the wall can help us discuss proportions and placement. Where useful, we can prepare a digital illustration using an existing reference artwork. This gives an impression of how the proposed scale and colours might sit in the room; it is not a photograph or guarantee of a commissioned painting that has not yet been created.

If you are still deciding between an available original and a new commission, our personal art consultation may be a helpful place to start.

The details make it yours

Room for your ideas, and for the unexpected.

Every commission has its own starting point. These are some of the decisions we can explore together.

Size and orientation

A compact original for an intimate corner or a large statement canvas for an open wall. The shape and dimensions are agreed before work begins.

Colour and atmosphere

Share shades you respond to, or reference the movement and colour of existing works. Swatches can help guide a palette without turning the painting into an exact colour reproduction.

Surface and finish

Acrylic on canvas is central to Paresh's practice. Textured passages and details such as metallic leaf can be discussed where appropriate. Materials and finishing are confirmed for each commission.

Homes and professional interiors

Commissions can be considered for private homes, workplaces, hospitality settings and projects developed with interior designers. For broader collaborations, visit Working Together.

Questions worth asking

A few things to know before commissioning.

It is a personal process, and we want you to feel comfortable asking questions at any stage.

Can I commission an artwork inspired by one that has sold?

Yes. A sold original can help communicate the colours, energy or composition you love. Paresh develops a new, individual painting rather than making an identical copy.

How much does a bespoke abstract painting cost?

Pricing depends on the dimensions, materials and nature of the work. We provide an individual quotation and agree the scope before painting begins. A 50% deposit is required to start the commission, with the balance due before delivery.

How long does an original painting commission take?

As a guide, allow approximately 2 to 6 weeks once the brief and arrangements are agreed. Larger canvases, unusual materials or studio commitments can change this. We will discuss the expected timing with you in advance.

Can I see the painting before it is delivered?

Yes. Photographs of the completed work are shared before the next steps are agreed. If multiple variations or opportunities for refinement are needed, those should be discussed and included in the brief before work begins.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. You might start with a favourite painting, a room photograph or a feeling you would like the artwork to bring. We can talk through possibilities and shape a brief together.

Is a bespoke commission different from buying a finished painting?

Yes. A commission is created specifically to an agreed brief, whereas an available original can be viewed and purchased as it stands. Commission terms, delivery arrangements and any applicable cancellation rights should be reviewed before proceeding. See our returns policy for further information.
