Against soft charcoal, colour gathers at the heart of the canvas like light caught for a moment. Violet, crimson and gold swirl together, crossed by silvery white strokes and fine, quick lines that give the painting its energy.

Painting, for Paresh, is a way of listening. He lets his emotions guide the brush and keeps working until the canvas feels alive. Fluid Light carries that searching spirit: warm at its centre, open at its edges, and different each time you return to it.

The darker surround lets the colours glow like a lantern in the evening, and that warmth is the first thing you feel. It is a comforting painting to come home to, and it sits beautifully with warm woods, leather and stone.

At 47 × 59 in, this extra large original acrylic painting by London-based artist Paresh Nrshinga FRSA suits a living room, entrance hall or reception. The sides are painted, it is ready to hang, and it comes signed with a certificate of authenticity.
