Northern Mirage
Turquoise and aqua flash across a long canvas of charcoal, plum and soft grey, while warm apricot and rust glow through in places like light on distant hills. White streaks and drips run downward, giving the scene a shimmering, half seen quality.
Paresh layered this work slowly, letting earlier colours show through later ones. The picture that emerged feels like a memory of a northern landscape, seen through haze rather than painted from life.
Northern Mirage has a quiet pull. It invites you to keep looking for what lies just beyond the surface, and it brings depth and a sense of adventure to a room.
At 36 × 60 in, this original acrylic painting on Belgian primed canvas by London-based artist Paresh Nrshinga FRSA suits a living room or long hallway. The sides are painted, it is supplied unframed and ready to hang, and it is signed with a certificate of authenticity.
